Baler

Baler, Aurora

this time its Baler. though, hindi namin kabisado ang lugar...we have this urge to visit the province. my sole reason?..wala lang, maiba lang. we have been to many provinces west coast of North Philippines and i personally want to visit the east coast. sort of challenge and adventure kasi we dont know any one and anywhere aside from taking a Genesis bus to reach the destination.

after 6 hours ng byahe (actually di ko nga alam kung 6 hours kasi most of the time tulog ako kahit rough road na ung dinadaanan namin..what the heck! i want to sleep despite of super duper lamig ng aircon). we reach the town of Baler at 6am with a few drizzle. malas ata, umuulan pa. we dont know pa na un na ung lugar until bumaba na lahat ng passenger. natawa ako sa reaction ng tricycle driver(which we later called him Manong or Kuya) nung sinagot ko ung tanong nya na kung san kami pupunta. actually kahit naman sino, matatawa talaga.

"Actually Manong, hindi namin alam kung san kami pupunta" i stupidly answered.
"Basta paki dala naman po kami sa Resort"

ewan ko ba, mauubusan na sana ako ng pag-asa at susugal na bumiyahe ulet ng 4hours to try to another destination nung nakahanap kami ng tutuluyan. Sanchez Resort, Brgy. Zabali Baler, Aurora. pinakiusapan lang namin ung caretaker (which we later knew that he was the son of the Resort Owner in which candidate for re-election of Councilor seat) na hintayin na lang namin ung magccheck out ng lunchtime. nakuha ata sa dasal at pagpapa cute ko kaya pumayag.

we reached the resort when the sea was in high tide. sobrang lakas ng alon. surfing destination nga ang Baler db? nung nag low tide dun lang namin nakitang coral reefs pala ang lugar. di ka pdeng mag swimming kung ayaw mong duguan kang lulutang. the site was not that breathtaking but good enough to spent the rest of my holy week. mababait ang mga tao dito, super as in!. they provided what we need and in 3days, we already have this so called "feeling close" with the resort family owner.

wala kaming ginawa kundi matulog, kumain, mamasyal at magluto. matulog, kumain, mamasyal at magluto. matulog, kumain, mamasyal at magluto. sarap ng buhay! and you could actually agree with me na hindi mo na gugustuhin pang bumalik sa polusyon ng Manila. i actually woke up as early as 6am just to watched the sunrise. minsan pa nga akong nag-emo at umupo sa batuhan habang nagkakape, nag sa-sound trip at nababasa ng alon sa dagat. whew!

we went to Ditumabo falls, Balete Park, Baler Fishport and the Aniao Islets(im not sure if it was). these place made our get-away truly memorable. Good thing we were so lucky to visit Aurora and met nice people. Sobrang nakakatanggal ng stress. and after the scratch in left leg (dala ng katangahan at parang batang nadapa sa coral reefs, buti nalang hindi nila ako napicturan hehehe) we left the town at 3am and reached Manila at 9am.
